A message to campers, guardians, volunteers, donors and the wider Outlook community:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that the Camp Outlook 2020 summer canoe tripping program is cancelled. On May 18th, the Government of Ontario announced that overnight camps are not able to run this summer. While this announcement is very difficult for everyone who loves Camp Outlook, we understand and support the Government’s decision. As always, the health and safety of our youth and volunteers is our biggest priority.
While we are not able to run our regular programming this summer, we plan to use this time to strengthen our programming, build for future seasons, and continue to monitor pandemic developments. In the midst of all this uncertainty, we are grateful to our Outlook community—including directors, volunteers, campers, guardians, and donors—for your resilience, creativity, and compassion. We are deeply saddened that we will not be able to serve our community in the usual way this summer, but look forward to the safe and happy return of programming when possible.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at if you have any questions about our response to COVID-19, or our programming. We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy, and hope that we can see you in the fall for Camp Outlook Winter 2020.
All the best,
Ben, Greg, Jesse, Laura, Laura, Marc, Mariana, Vlad, and Kyle
