The recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Ontario warrants heightened caution. While Camp Outlook will look different in 2021, we are hopeful that we will be able to welcome campers this summer.
The Ontario Camps Association is working with Public Health Ontario to develop guidelines for the safe operation of overnight summer camps. These guidelines may change over the course of the summer as the pandemic changes. We are planning to do everything we can to run a program this summer, but we may need to cancel or modify programs with little to no notice.
We are hoping to run overnight wilderness canoe trips this summer, but we will never run a program if we think it is too risky. The safety of Camp Outlook’s campers and volunteers remains our highest priority. Our trip leaders will be well trained and have all the necessary certifications to lead safe and fun trips for our campers.
Our Camp Outlook COVID-19 Procedures describe our current measures for minimizing the chance of COVID-19 transmission. These procedures will continue to be updated leading up to and throughout the summer. Our COVID-19 Risk Acknowledgement will need to be completed for each participant this summer. We will continue to work closely with KFL&A Public Health to make sure we’re doing what we can to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
We aim for transparency and clarity and encourage you to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and/or email@example.com with any questions or concerns. We greatly appreciate your patience and continued support.
All the best,
Alana, Greg, Laura, Mariana, Marc, Steph, Vlad, and John
